Chedington Court – Stunningly beautiful gardens and grounds. Spring fed ornamental lake with fountain. On the southern side of the house is a series of attractive stone terraces surrounded by smart stone ballustrading and a pair of mirrored stairs lead from here to the croquet lawn which is surrounded by beautiful herbaceous borders. Paths lead to a succession of ponds which form an attractive water garden. Beyond this is a rockery garden
passing under a series of wooden bridges to some lower ponds. Further to the south is an enclosed kitchen garden area with greenhouses and fruit cages. The rolling lawns drop down to the west of the house to a glasshouse and nursery beds. With on of the largest Japanese Red Cedars in the South West.

Stoneleigh – A garden in three areas. A low maintenance front garden, to the rear a courtyard garden with roses and finally a challenging terrace garden with steps and amazing long distance views.

Hazel Barton – A mix of formal and informal gardens, nature ponds and since last summer, a re-landscaped wild flower lawn, complete with a subterranean hobbit house.  Slopes, steps and unfenced ponds. A new ‘Hobbit House’ has been added as a lockdown project.

Two Hazel Barton Cottages – A low maintenance garden with rockery, patio area and steps down to the lawn. With lovely views, framed by trees in the back.

One Westside – A long gently sloping garden with lovely views. Including a vegetable patch, greenhouse, and at the moment a selection of young Somerset apple trees with mixed borders.

Three Westside – Created and maintained with love includes a beautiful magnolia tree, established shrubs, a handmade shed and log store with a living roof.

Four Westside – A long narrow garden, under redevelopment! Planning to create a fusion between cottage garden and tropical paradise.

Five Westside – Managed by nature with occasional human intervention.

Six Westside – A newly acquired garden with work in progress and lovely views at the bottom of this T-shaped garden.

Seven Westside – An enclosed, mature, well stocked garden mainly laid to lawn with shrubs, perennials and a large yew tree. In the past our garden has been described as a ’garden of rooms’.

Eight Westside – A mature garden with lawn and elegant pond.

Primrose Cottage – Long, narrow, mature garden divided into four areas. Mixed planting with a stunning, magnolia framed view of the rolling hills beyond. Vegetable plot.

Lower Thatch – A Cottage garden with vegetable patch, soft fruit and small orchard, best seen in spring. Lovely views across Somerset from orchard.

Sandy Knapp – A mature ‘hide and seek’ garden bisected by a trickling stream with some areas currently undergoing renovation. Highlights include herbaceous borders, a mature bog garden, vegetable area with raised beds and fruit cages.
